Fourth Annual Salem Audubon Photo Contest To Feature Birds of the USA
May 1, 2008 through August 2, 2008

The Fourth Annual Photo Contest sponsored by Salem Audubon Society gets underway Thursday, May Ist. This year's theme "Birds of the USA" becomes your opportunity once again to share with others your creative photographic efforts to capture the bird world on a larger scale than just Oregon and share it with others. All of the states become your travel route. Many people camp, hike, bike, visit friends and family, etc. during the summer months. What a great way to salute the birds of America that give pleasure to all who are aware of their beauty and behavior.

To become eligible for one of the prizes listed for the contest winners, you will need to follow the rules carefully. Entries that do not follow the rules will not be considered in the final judging. A panel of judges not affiliated with SAS will select the winners.

After Thursday, May 1st until Saturday, August 2nd, entrants may consult the SAS website: www.salem-audubon.org and click on the link for the 2008 Photo Contest to peruse the rules and print out the entry forms. For persons without computers, copies of the rules and forms may be picked up at the SAS office at the Reed Opera House on Liberty St. NE, Suite 210. These copies are stored in the plastic case attached to the door.
